The following triad of quilts were made as a commission for a socially responsible multinational company which is active in and supportive of the fight against HIV/AIDS.


LIVE IN HOPE by Glenda Kirkiridis ws made in response to the many people living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa. The names on the quilt are in memory if the people Glenda knew who have died of HIV/AIDS complications. So far the number is up to 10. The quilt was subsequently framed and is now in a private collection.
SIZE: approximately 50 cm X 75 cm. Hand embroidered and beaded. Fabric was hand dyed by AMAFU Hand dyes.










SAVE THE CHILDEN by Beth Barkus was made in response to the many children living with HIV/AIDS and the many,many orphans left to fend for themselves as a result of the death of their parents or caregivers through HIV/AIDS. The piece was subsequently framed and is now in a private collection.
SIZE: apporximately 50 cm X 75 cm . Hand embroidered and beaded. FAbric was hand dyed and block printed by AMAFU Hand dyes.
